Alber Cano guanya el primer premi de la Beethoven Junior Intercollegiate Piano Competition 2014, a Londres
The first prize winner of the 2014 Beethoven Junior Intercollegiate Piano Competition was Albert Cano-Smit (Chethams
School of Music) with a performance of Beethoven's Sonata Op. 109. The Competition was held on Sunday 16th March 2014
at The Austrian Cultural Forum, 28, Rutland Gate, London SW7 1PQ, where six competitors performance before a Jury of
Julian Jacobson, Melvyn Cooper and Bobby Chen. Each competitor performed a compulsory Bagatelle (Op 119 No 11 in Bb)
and a Beethoven Sonata of their choice. 2nd prize was awarded to Tomoka Kan (Royal College of Music) who played
Beethoven's Sonata in D Op. 28 'Pastoral', and 3rd prize was given to James Orrell (RNCM) for his account of
Beethoven's Sonata in F sharp Op.78. A full report on this website's Articles page, and will appear in the next
